Hi my name is Shannon, I am based within the 3-5 room. My main responsibility is to support and challenge all children within their literacy learning. This includes working directly with your children using literacy resources and materials, planning challenges as well as ensuring the nursery environments provide opportunities for your children to see and interact with letters and sounds within their everyday play experiences. I will be offering parent literacy workshops throughout the term which I would be delighted if you could attend, you are more than welcome to bring your child along with you. This will give you the opportunity to try out some of the activities and give you ideas of how you can support your child’s literacy at home using technology and everyday materials.
